| 内容記述 | Various surveys have revealed that the self-reforms of agricultural cooperatives in Japan, which began in 2015, are generally felt by the cooperatives’ members. However now that the number of farmers is declining, there is no guarantee that the inherited successor will continue to use the agricultural cooperative's business after the retirement of the elderly members of the cooperative. In this article, the current state of governance of agricultural cooperatives, which seem to be closed to non-member, is shown by utilizing the items in the governance report of listed companies from the description in the disclosure documents of agricultural cooperatives. From this analysis result, I will discuss the possibility of applying the Corporate Governance Code mutatis mutandis to agricultural cooperatives in Japan in order to strengthen governance.
