| 内容記述 | In colonial Korea, a unique educational policy called “Graduates Guidance” was implemented from the late 1920s to the 1930. The policy required the teachers of Ordinary School to visit the graduate students and teach them farming after work or on their days off. “Graduates Guidance” began in Gyeonggi province in 1927, and it was carried out in all areas in Korea by 1930. In this paper, I first reported that the central planner of “Graduates Guidance” at the Ordinary School in colonial Korea was Yahiro Ikuo. And, I shed light on the implementation in North Jeolla province, where the policy was started in 1928, right before the nationwide execution. I have newly discovered a historical record, “Regarding supplementary education for the Ordinary School graduates.” A closer examination of this record and the previous research shows that the administrators in North Jeolla, who were forced to carry out “Graduates Guidance,” employed a ruse which gave the appearance of complying with the regulation. |
