The participants were 685 undergraduate students in Chuo university. They were asked to complete web questionnaire which consisted of the following questions; (a) smartphone use (utilization time per day, period from first possession, place and time to use smartphone, application to use), (b) Smartphone dependency scale for use with Japanese university students (Matsushima, etc., 2017), (c) Daily life skills scale for college students (Shimamoto & Ishii, 2006),(d) Daily physical and psychological health consciousness (Ikuma, 2016). The obtained findings showed that most of students used smartphones long terms (since junior high school and high school students) and long times per day. Longer use of smartphone tended to bring smartphone dependency and worse physical and psychological conditions. Cluster analysis on index on smartphone use and smartphone dependency scale found eight different smartphone use groups. Their types were situated from light to sever smartphone dependency.
