The 3wt%Y2O3-1wt%CaO -0.25wt%LaB6 and 3wt%Y2O3-1wt%CaO-0.25wt%B2O3 additives were more effective than the 3wt% Y2O3-1wt%CaO additives for the densification of the AlN. The most effective additive was the LaB6 , that is , the AlN samples with 3wt% Y2O3-1wt%CaO-0.25wt%LaB6 sintered at 1600◦C - 4h in N2 atmosphere were fully densified.
