In 2021, the Japanese government also set a goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions in 2030 by 46% compared to 2013, aiming for “carbon neutral” in 2050. However, Japanese companies are losing their competitiveness in the production of renewable energy-related equipment, and imports of overseas products are expanding. In addition, some Japanese companies are moving forward with the development of small nuclear power plants and co-firing with hydrogen and ammonia in thermal power generation.\n  As the movement of “decarbonization” spreads, the energy and resource supply industry is also moving away from coal mines and switching to renewable energy.
