内容記述 | Due to its concentration on content over form and increased cognitive load, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) has been hailed as an effective technique for boosting language proficiency among its learners (European Commission, 2014). CLIL entails studying a subject( such as statistics, economics, or mathematics) while also learning a language( such as English) which is a process known as integration( Coyle et al., 2010). This paper explores how CLIL teaches non-native English speakers how to use R and RStudio to visualize data. Considering this, the essay examines 21st-century skills set in terms of information literacy and technology literacy. Aspects of CLIL such as the challenges of using this approach in a university classroom and the advantages of employing this teaching method are examined. This treatise discusses how learning R programming and using RStudio to practice statistical analysis through data visualization is achievable through the CLIL method. The author explores this through an approach known as autoethnography and explains it using the first-person pronoun in a portion of the essay. |
