| 内容記述 | The network economy has become economically influential in addition to the land-based economy. This paper deals with the locational impact of the network economy. Existing locational analyses have successfully categorized Japanese regional economies into sixteen categories using the city system economy index and the regional connection economy index that represent the network economy. This paper examines the results shown by the two network economic indexes by the gravity model analysis. This examination supports the spatial regularity in the regional economic distribution shown by the existing analyses and clarifies the following point. Some machinery production industries tend to be more oriented towards rural agglomerations than market oriented. This result gives a meaningful suggestion : The formation of agglomeration of the machine production industry with high human mobility is effective for economic development in the marginal area. In line with this view, the high potential of the machine production industry in Ishikawa Prefecture is drawing attention. | |||||||||
