| 内容記述 | Saxenian argued that networks are important for regional industrial clusters to revive from decline. However, she did not make it clear as to why a production network including outside parties can be created during the decline phase of an industrial cluster. In this paper, we focus on the textile industry in Hachioji, which developed after World War II and has since been in decline, and analyze case studies of companies in the region. This was supported by the companies’ ability to gather information, develop products, apply traditional technology, and entrepreneurial spirit. This analysis revealed that during the decline phase of a regional industrial cluster, local firms contributed to the maintenance of the production network. | |||||||||||||||||
