| 内容記述 | This study examined the impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake on the population of fishing districts in Iwate and Miyagi, based on population changes in the base unit district of the national census since 2005, and in particular, how many years the population decline was accelerated in areas where the population had been declining even before the earthquake. The results show that in fishing districts where the population was declining, the population decline was accelerated by approximately 5 years （median）. Population decline varied even within fishing districts in the same municipality, with Ishinomaki showing particularly large variation. The years were smaller in districts with fishing ports. | |||||||||
