| 内容記述 | For public health, real-time and practical information collection is required to control infectiousdiseases. In Japan, the Infectious Diseases Control Law stipulates the types of diseases to be reported and the reporting criteria, and data have been compiled, analyzed, and published as National Epidemiological Surveillance of Infectious Diseases (NESID). This system,which functions under close collaboration among medical institutions, government agencies,and laboratories, is representative of the epidemiology of infectious diseases. However, the outbreak and pandemic of COVID-19 placed a heavy burden on this system, forcing it to undergo changes, including the establishment of new systems such as HER-SYS. Comprehensive efforts have been sought and made to utilize and analyze the results. This article reviewed the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information on infectious diseases,including changes before and after COVID-19. | |||||||||
