| 内容記述 | Since 2012, the Ananda Hospital, a charitable hospital in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh (UP), established by the Indian Welfare Village Society, a Japanese certified NPO, has connected a PC to an automatic blood pressure machine to collect the blood pressure measurement data of each patient. Every time blood pressure was measured, it was transmitted and collected by synchronizing it with a Japanese PC via a public cloud. As a result, as of February 11, 2023, data for a total of 144,207 patients were transmitted, and various analyzes such as changes in the percentage of hypertensive patients and correlation with temperature were made possible.Measurements are still continuing every day, 6 days a week, except for Sundays when the clinic is closed. This is the story of how the blood pressure data transmission started, the medical situation in rural India, the changes in the improvement of communication infrastructure, the changes in the health condition of the local residents that can be seen from the data analysis of the 10 years, and the realization of it. This is a summary of various experiences unique to developing countries that occurred when trying to use ICT in developing countries like this region, hoping that they will serve as a reference for later. |
