| 内容記述 | Investments in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) have become increasingly common in the corporate world to achieve sustainable growth in recent years. This study analyzes the ESG reporting using a sample of 403 Chinese listed companies from Shenzhen Stock Exchange published by the Chinese Research Data Services (CNRDS). The empirical results show that on average 74.1％ Chinese companies report ESG initiatives. In terms of ESG achievement rates, Chinese companies are most concerned about governance pillars (85.1％), followed by society pillars (78.7％) and environment pillars (58.5％). The findings in this study contribute to the ESG literature in the emerging economies by highlighting the importance of ESG issues. The study has important practical implications for firms promoting ESG. | |||||||||
