| 内容記述 | This article traces the history of the Seminar on Early Modern Historical Documents (“Kinsei Shiryo Toriatsukai Koshukai”) organized by the Shiryo-kan of the Ministry of Education in Japan, which starting in 1952. It also introduces the archives related to the Seminar. After World War II, there was a movement to protect historical documents in the private sector. As a result, at the request of historians, the Shiryo-kan was established of the Ministry of Education as a facility to protect and utilize historical documents. The outline of the history of the establishment, organization and functions of the Shiryo-kan has already been clarified. However, there are many issues that need to be clarified regarding the practice of the Shiryokan. Practices in the Shiryo-kan have had a major impact on the preservation and management of historical materials in postwar Japan. The Seminar on Early Modern Historical Documents is a particularly important practice that is positioned at the origin of archivist education in Japan. Therefore, in this article, I would like to introduce the history of the Seminar on Early Modern Historical Documents and introduce relevant parts of the office diary to help advance research. | |||||||||||
