| 内容記述 | This paper introduces the “Map of the Satomi Clan’s Castle Ruins” owned by Hyogo Prefectural Museum of History. This map depicts Tateyama Castle ruins in current Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture. This castle is the last main castle of the Satomi clan and was demolished in 1614. There are no historical materials left regarding the structure of Tateyama Castle, and many of the ruins have been destroyed. Given this situation, the map introduced here, provides valuable information about Tateyama Castle. In addition to Tateyama Castle, this map also depicts the Inaba clan’s Tateyama domain government office. The Inaba clan’s Tateyama domain government office was established in 1791 and abolished in 1871, so it can be assumed that this map was created during that period. This map is a valuable document that shows the castle ruins and surrounding landscape from the late Edo period. In this paper, I would like to give an overview of Tateyama Castle and introduce the information that can be obtained from this map. | |||||||||||
