| 内容記述 | The history of Japanese language education in Chinese universities dates back to 1928 when it was formally initiated at Peking University. Subsequently, Japanese language majors were established at institutions such as the University of International Business and Economics, Shanghai International Studies University, and Beijing Foreign Studies University, leading to a gradual proliferation of Japanese language education. Following China's accession to the WTO in 2001 and the subsequent opening of its market, the demand for Japanese-speaking talent surged due to increased foreign investment. Consequently, the number of universities offering Japanese language majors expanded, reaching 507 by 2023. Japanese literature education plays a crucial role in the history of Japanese language education at Chinese universities. This paper investigates the curriculum of Japanese language majors and the prominence of Japanese literature within it, focusing on two key subjects: literary history and literary works selection and analysis. Through analysis, this study aims to explore the structure, reality, and challenges of Japanese literature education in Chinese universities. Recent challenges such as saturation in the Japanese-speaking talent market and a shortage of instructors have impacted Japanese literature education. While Japanese literature courses are widely offered, issues like inadequate teaching staff, outdated teaching materials, and lack of student interest persist. Overcoming these challenges requires enhancing teacher training, improving teaching materials, and introducing diverse teaching methods such as active learning and projectbased learning. Additionally, efforts to incorporate the latest research findings and literary interpretation trends are needed to stimulate student engagement and interest in learning. | |||||||||||
