| 内容記述 | The Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwestern China has historically been primarily inhabited by Uyghurs, who speak a Turkic language and predominantly adhere to Islam. As the Cultural Revolution in the People’s Republic of China, during which the uniqueness of the culture and religion of ethnic minorities was denied, ended and new policies were implemented, Uyghur society in the 1980s and 1990s witnessed the emergence of activities led by Uyghur intellectuals. These aimed to reconstruct the historical narrative of their people and emphasize their language and culture, forming a significant ethnic cultural movement. This article delves into the circumstances surrounding the launch of Bulaq in 1980, a prominent literary journal, and explores its background. Specifically, we will analyze how classical historical literature was recognized and treated within the journal, considering the political backdrop. In their research, writing, and publications on Uyghur classical literature, which formed the backbone of this magazine, scholars constructed a systematic narrative of the history of Uyghur ethnic literature. The literary works of the 19th century in the Chagatay language were identified as the core components, filling a scholarly void that had persisted in the past. These activities held a crucial position in the historical development of the cultural dynamics of Uyghur society in contemporary Xinjiang. | |||||||||||||||||
