| 内容記述 | This study aims is to understand 20th-century societies and human dystopia at their roots and to explore concrete ways out of them. The question is why and in what form did the concentration camps of totalitarian states transform human beings? To answer this question, we focus on testimonies and reflections that attempt to view the situation of human beings in the camps not within a humanist framework, but within a non - humanistic vocabulary. First, we identified a significant link between the camps and the perpetuation of a state of exception, as discussed by Giorgio Agamben. Next, we examined the reflections of Primo Levi, Hannah Arendt, and Giorgio Agamben. It was argued that the forms of human life in the camps were described as beings excluded from the human species, as numbers, “human animals”, “Pavlov’s dogs” and “Muslims”, therefore to speak, as indistinguishable from humans and non-human beings. Finally, drawing on the lessons of Auschwitz drawn by Agamben, we highlighted to the possibility of ceasing to destroy the “human thing” in the difficult activity of testifying by proxy to the ultimate form of human dystopia. | |||||||||||
