| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to delve into the phenomenon of ‘fave’ or ‘supporting one’s fave’, which has attracted much attention in recent years, based on the results of a questionnaire survey conducted in 2022 among university students in Tokyo metropolitan area. From the questionnaire survey, idols were most frequently mentioned as the object of ‘fave’, followed by characters such as anime, actors and singers. It was also apparent that their existence is not so much as a familiar stranger, akin to a lover or friend, but as an existence to be respected and admired for their unparalleled efforts. In general, women were more enthusiastic about the ‘supporting their fave’ than men. |
