| 内容記述 | In the Digital Transformation (DX) era, there is a shift from traditional Business Process Management (BPM) focused on cost efficiency to ambidextrous BPM, which integrates both exploitative and exploratory practices for fostering incremental and breakthrough innovations.This study explores the assertions by Sailer (2019) and Furlan et al. (2023) that agile Scrum can facilitate this integration by supporting both types of innovations. However, through an analysis based on the idea of organizational routine (Feldman, 2000), the paper identifies limitations in agile Scrum’s ability to drive breakthrough innovation, despite its potentiality in incremental innovations. The findings suggest that it must incorporate ‘built-in instability,’as discussed by Takeuchi and Nonaka (1986), to stimulate creativity in development teams of agile scrum. By intentionally introducing the instability into the teams, it could be possible to overcome the inherent limitations of agile Scrum in facilitating ambidextrous BPM. | |||||||||||
