| 内容記述 | The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted at the United Nations Summit in 2015 must be seriously considered as international goals to be achieved by 2030. Climate change is a critical problem threatening human life through global warming and other adverse weather events such as. The cause of climate change is progress in human science, which is why humanity as a whole must work to mitigate its effects. However, leaving this role to voluntary human behavioral changes will not have the desired effect. There are high expectations from sports platforms about influencing changes in people's awareness and behavior. The J-League is Japan’s leading professional sports league, with 60 clubs spread throughout Japan. Each club has a significant impact on the local community due to its community-based activities. When the themes of the SDGs, especially the issue of climate change, need to be addressed, it would be of great value to society if the J-League and J-Clubs took the lead. By examining the case-in-point of Mito Hollyhock, which has succeeded in monetizing its climate action, we prove that the commitment of sports clubs toward climate action will add new value to club management and advocate new possibilities in the sporting world. |
