| 内容記述 | After a period of rapid economic growth in Japan, the 1970s marked a break in the trend, with a significant change in attitudes toward privacy and personal information and a corresponding tendency of decline in cooperation with official statistical surveys. This is the so-called deterioration of the statistical survey climate. Considering the role played by official statistics as the information base for attitudes toward surveys, including fundamental statistics, it is essential for statistics to consider how to not only cope with the deteriorating situation but also maintain and improve the level of cooperation in surveys. In this study, as a statistical approach to this issue, we conducted a web-based questionnaire survey with the opt-in panel to clarify the survey climate of official statistics in recent years. As an initial analysis, the characteristics of attributes and response tendencies of the respondents were examined by comparing the results of existing statistical surveys of the same type conducted earlier as reference values to evaluate the inherent object reflectiveness (nonreflectiveness) of our web-based survey. The results showed that as compared with the average view of Japanese employees, a slightly higher proportion of respondents in this survey were dissatisfied with society. Conversely, fewer respondents believed that people could be trusted. The tendency toward individualism was also rather pronounced. A relatively high number of respondents had a skeptical opinion vis-à-vis official statistical surveys. |
