| 内容記述 | It seems obvious that lying is morally unjust. But it is also true that not every lie is unconditionally condemned. To answer the question of what lies are condemnable and what lies are permissible, it is necessary to address the question of what is wrong with lying. To this purpose, this paper will first examine I. Kant’s argument who places lying at the top of the list of moral wrongdoings and then make clear that there are several aspects of Kant’s argument on the injustice of lying. We then turn to C. Korsgaard who develops an argument for the wrong of lying. Korsgaard’s argument, which seeks to ground the injustice of lying in the violation of autonomy, is very persuasive, but it is difficult to say that her account covers the injustice of lying. For this reason, we will next examine the findings of S. Shiffrin, who approaches lying from a different perspective. Based on those argument, I will finally point out that wrong of lying can be divided into two types. | |||||||||||
