| 内容記述 | This study analyzes how different higher education pathways—universities, junior colleges, and vocational schools—affect women’s employment patterns and life courses（marriage, childbirth） in Japan. Using individual-level data from the Employment Status Surveys conducted in 2007 and 2017, the research reveals the following points: The findings indicate that enrolling in vocational schools after high school provides certain employment advantages for women but does not offer the same level of economic stability as four-year universities. The benefits of junior colleges, especially concerning regular employment, have notably decreased over time. Moreover, this research highlights that women’s educational choices after high school significantly influence their subsequent employment and life course outcomes. |
