| 内容記述 | This research note describes the expansion of the Sinophone World and changes in Laos society focusing on the reorganization of social relations, using the information we have acquired during our fieldwork conducted in Namo District, Oudomxay Province in 2023-2025. The cases introduced in this paper are as follows: （1） Ho（Han Lao nationals） as intermediaries between Lao society and the Chinese, （2） Chinese language study, work, and cash crop cultivation in remote mountain villages where the Hmong live, and （3） cash crop cultivation by Chinese individual business owners. As a finding of the research, it is argued that the Sinophone World is bringing about a renewal of the “wholeness of connections” in Laos society. | |||||||||||
