| 内容記述 | Compared to the coastal areas, the inland areas of mainland Southeast Asia have been left behind in development, and Laos is a typical example. However, in recent years, the favorable location connecting China, Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar has been reevaluated, and it has attracted investment from neighboring capital. The main roads of the logistics arteries connecting Vientiane with the neighboring economic zones run through the space dotted with semi-subsistence agricultural and mountain villages. Settlements, factories, lodging facilities, etc. have appeared along the roads. The land use of the rural villages behind them has rapidly shifted to the cultivation of cash crops for the markets of neighboring countries. In this paper, I will focus on a town area that has emerged along the main road in Namo district, Oudomxay province and explore what kind of community is emerging in the space where new and old migrants with roots in various ethnic groups live together. | |||||||||||
