| 内容記述 | This study aimed to consider the estimation of opinion distribution among those who responded “Neutral” by analyzing a questionnaire survey of university students that included items on the “estimation of other’s consciousness.” In the questionnaire, we presented two opposing opinions regarding legal regulations on the internet, and asked participants which opinion they supported. The participants could indicate that their opinion was “Neutral.” We asked the participants to estimate the distribution of responses from “students currently in the classroom” for each option. Even those who responded “Neutral” tended to assume that their chosen option was others’ most likely response, thus, the “false consensus effect” was observed. However, participants’ estimated distribution of responses from “ordinary people in Japanese society” did not show a similar tendency. Furthermore, we attempted to conceptualize the pattern comprising the percentage estimates for each option as a “waveform” and examined the specific distribution of each pattern. The distribution of each “waveform” pattern between the “Neutral” group and the other groups differed greatly. Finally, we discussed the subjective image of the distribution of opinions within individuals. | |||||||||||
