| 内容記述 | Artificial intelligence (AI), which artificially realizes the intelligent functions of the human brain, continues to evolve in the digital space. The intelligent functions are realized by advanced ICT systems, consisting of an ICT terminal (typically a smartphone), mobile broadband networks, server groups, cloud computing technology, and applications (including various programs and data) that run on them. There is an accelerating trend in which the digital space has been integrating with the real space (physical world) and becoming increasingly important in the economy and society. Specifically, in the digital society, digital services such as social media, e-commerce, video distribution services, and online conferencing services have become widespread and are used in our daily life, and the trend of digital transformation (DX) continues in various fields, bringing benefits to people and making digital services indispensable in the economy and society. However, the negative aspects of the digital society have become more apparent in recent years. In the recent digital society, strange cases that have problems with common sense have been appearing frequently. These occurrences may not be limited to specific individual cases, but may have a common structure and general problems, so they have already been considered from various aspects as social issues. At the same time, there is a growing concern that common sense, manners, and morals that have long supported human cooperation among people in the real space (physical world) are losing their influence. This paper will organize basic data in mainly Japan on the current situation of the digital society, extract relevant recent cases, and consider what basic approach should be adopted to address these challenges, including policy, taking into account perspectives of ethical, legal and social implications/issues (ELSI). |
