Understanding the mechanisms of learning transfer remains a critical research challenge. This study proposes the concept of articulation of reflection (AR) as a novel mediating process that bridges learning and practice, and explores its potential role in the context of workshop-based training programs. Using a mixed-methods design, data were collected from 172 working adults who participated in such training. The analysis suggests a sequential process in which generative dialogue facilitates structural understanding and AR, which in turn is associated with engagement in practice. While the quantitative findings require cautious interpretation due to limitations in scale reliability, the qualitative data particularly highlight mechanisms through which AR fosters commitment to practice. By introducing a social and linguistic perspective through the concept of AR, this study aims to make both theoretical and practical contributions to understanding the process of learning transfer. |
