| 内容記述 | This study compares Japanese classifier usage between native speakers and advanced L2 learners. Using parallel surveys, it explores how each group selects classifiers in contextually ambiguous situations, such as when counting animals, objects, or fictional beings. Results show that native speakers rely on intuitive, culturally embedded boundaries, while L2 learners often apply simplified or overgeneralized rules. Learners whose first languages include classifiers, such as Chinese, showed relatively higher accuracy. The findings suggest that effective instruction should address not just grammatical forms but also conceptual categorization to foster more natural and accurate classifier usage. | |||||||
