| 内容記述 | On March 28, 2025, the Korea-Japan Peace Unification Forum, organized by the Peaceful Unification Advisory Council, convened at the Imperial Hotel in Osaka. The Peaceful Unification Advisory Council functions as an advisory entity to the Office of the President of South Korea. Notably, the year 2025 marked the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and South Korea; consequently, the forum was thematically titled “60th Anniversary of Korea-Japan Diplomatic Relations: Reflection and Future Vision.” In the first session, Professor Jin-goo Cho from Kyungnam University presided as chairperson, with presentations by Former Secretary-General of the Korea-Japan Parliamentarians’ Union Yong-rae Cho and the author. Commentary was provided by Professor Seung-young Kim of Kansai Gaidai University and Professor Sachio Nakato of Ritsumeikan University. The author delivered a paper entitled “The 60th Anniversary of Japan-South Korea Diplomatic Normalization: Retrospective and Challenges,” which concentrated on Japan-Korea relations while also addressing Japan-China and Japan-U.S. relations. The forum witnessed substantial participation from attendees of Korean descent. This manuscript serves as the comprehensive record of that presentation. | |||||||||||
