| 内容記述 | Differences among nations in their progress completing the demographic transition have led to a demographic divergence ― rich countries having shrinking and aging populations, poor countries having growing and younger populations. This divergence will fuel ever-larger streams of international migration in the future, mainly within Africa and from Africa to richer countries. Large-scale migration will create difficulties, as states' methods of coping with migration have not been successful. Avoiding major security problems and conflicts will depend on rapid reductions of fertility in Africa and better approaches to accepting and integrating international migrants. | |||||||
