| 内容記述 | This article’ s aim is twofold. One is to examine the comparability among surveys conducted in the mid 1990’s including both repeated cross-section surveys and a panel survey on party support. The other is to investigate the change of Japanese party support both at macro level and micro level during these years of dizzying change of political parties in Japan. First, we compared macro survey results on party support by three newspaper companies and confirmed they got “similar” numbers. Second, we compared the numbers with Meisuikyo-data and JESⅡ panel data and got “similar” trends with lower rates of independents in the latter data sets. JESⅡ panel data showed more difference from newspaper surveys than Meisuikyo-data did. Third, we compared the party support rates of ‘supplementary sample’ of JESⅡ panel data with Meisuikyo-data and got “similar” numbers. Forth, we tried multiple imputation for JESⅡ data to cope with panel attrition. The macro results of multiple imputation data were between ‘supplementary sample’ and original panel data. Fifth, we also examined the change in the party supports at individual level and concluded that the change was not so drastic. |
