In this study, we review the results of our previous research called “Fieldwork on the liminal territories” (Niihara edit. 2014） and investigate the conceptual links between liminal territories and the planetary society. Furthermore, we examine Melucci’s discussion of identity, which is considered as the capacity to respond to/for an ongoing process of the multiple self rather than a static thing or an essence in modern notion.
