Saicho also refuted Tokuitsu’s ‘doctrine of partial Buddhahood’. Since then their controversy on how to comprehend human destiny after death continued for about five years.\n　‘A doctrine of Partial Buddhahood’ that Tokuitsu adhered to was originated from ‘a theory of ideation only school （Yogacara idealism）’. It wasn’t only constructed from ideating reality syllogistically, but reality wasn’t even a representation of idea. What provided the base of idea was just idea in the theory.
