| 内容記述 | This article aims to analyze how best to achieve gender equality, which is one of the post-2015 UN Millennium Development Goals. First, progress in gender equality worldwide is assessed based on the reports by the United Nations, US Agency for International Development （USAID）, and the Development Assistance Committee （DAC） of the OECD. Second, while this study focuses on international norms and their roles, effects, and diffusion process, it examines whether gender equality as an international norm is best promoted through precise formula or aspirational language.Finally, through case studies of the USAID gender course online and the International Finance Corporation （IFC） report Women, Business and the Law 2014, this study argues that more concrete measures of gender equality as an international norm need to be developed so that the international society could set legal frameworks for states to comply with the gender equality norms in the post-2015 era. | |||||||||
