| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to analyze the dynamism of industrial agglomerations in the Suwa district and the process of transition from the silk-reeling industry to machinery industry. The Suwa region is widely known as having experienced a transition from the prewar silkreeling industry to the wartime defense industry, and to have subsequently shifted to the precision instrument industry following World War II. Hitherto, there have been numerous studies, with their focus ranging from the prewar silk-reeling industry in Okaya to the development of the precise instrument industry in the Suwa district. However, not many of these studies have focused on the transition from silk-reeling industry to machinery industry in the region. Consequently, this paper identifies the factors that prompted the transition from silkreeling to the machine industry by conducting a detailed examination of changes in industrial agglomerations, spanning from the era of silk-reeling industry to date. | |||||||||
