Sometimes, newspapers have reported cases of accidents and deaths of students at these places. The purpose of this research is to clarify the present conditions of such programs and schools using the case of Nanchang Hongjie Young People School, on which the famous movie “Internet Mama” is based, and is the most progressive school for internet addiction rehabilitation.  After researching, we found that there are four types of rehabilitation programs and confi rmed that Nanchang Hongjie Young People School's program is the most progressive. The school has evaluation criteria for internet addiction and provides two types of education: military training and psychotherapy. The president of school explained three features of students with internet addiction: 1) tendency to escape from reality, 2) lack of communication skills, and 3) unhealthy relationship with their parents. The school has six fundamental principles aimed at respecting the student’s personality and human rights.  However, the school faces certain problems, such as fi nancial diffi culties and the lack of attention of parents after the students return home.
