| 内容記述 | This paper confirms the rapid development of broadband infrastructure in Japan and the Pacific islands, and reexamines the recent situation of services trade. Since the islands have an economic structure in which most of their consumer goods have to be imported from outside, they have been seeking opportunities for investment from outside and seeking development in the tourism industry and export industries. The use of the Internet is not limited to mutual communication, but it changes the structure of local stakeholders by giving them the opportunity to consider business activities and human resource development that are inspired by differences in ideas between them. The case of the Pacific Islands shows that it has a surplus in the services trade, and the rapid development of broadband infrastructure is based on the utilization of unique content that makes the best use of the regional characteristics of each island, rather than the general characteristics of the region. It is expected that it will be an opportunity for industrial development based on the new relationship between the islands and other stakeholders. | |||||||||
