| 内容記述 | Thousand Cranes, is a representative work of Kawabata Yasunari who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1952. The novel reflects Kawabata Yasunariʼs consistent literary and aesthetic thinking, yet so far it has garnered rather varied, and even totally opposite comments and value judgements in the academic field. Previous studies have basically examined the value of his works from the perspective of aestheticism, sense of sin, salvation of humanity, and erotic aesthetics.This article takes Kawabata Yasunariʼs Nobel lecture as the starting point, to reinterpret the text of the novel from the perspective of Nie Zhenzhaoʼs ethical literary criticism theory and method of cognitive linguistics, the author tries to interpret the “mole” which appears repeatedly in the works by using the iconicity theory and metaphor theory of cognitive linguistics, so as to explore the authorʼs intention in a more accurate and deeper way. Through the research, it is found that Kawabata Yasunari, with the help of the background and atmosphere of Japanese traditional beauty, shows his deeper ethical thinking and concern for humanity, endows his works with special themes and literary values from the ethical and moral level. | |||||||||
