| 内容記述 | What are the effects of “memories” on the integration of community leaders? This paper discusses this question through a case study of the public housing of “Tachikawa Danchi” in Tokyo, which was rebuilt in the late 1990s, causing a reorganization of the neighborhood association. To do so, I first reviewed previous works on community leadership in Japan （Okuda 1983, 1993; Ochi 1980, 1990a, 1990b）. We will see that these theories had prominent epistemological meanings, but they could not explain how to keep leaders in an urban community. Second, I explain this problem through a case study of “Tachikawa-danchi”; I mainly present arguments about leaders who moved into “Tachikawa-danchi” after rebuilding. Theoretical findings were obtained that are related to community leaders as “mediators of memories.” | |||||||||
