| 内容記述 | The translated versions of No Longer Human have been so far published by over 70 publishing houses in China, encompassing more than 120 translations in terms of the covers ranging from the first edition to the reprints and the republished new versions. Whatʼs more, nearly 60 translators have engaged in translating this work, which promoted the development and prosperity of its translation and publication. This paper attempts to survey the publishing status of the translations of No Longer Human in China and then analyse the reasons of its publishing prosperity as well as the readersʼ acceptance. The author first searched and sorted out the translations of No Longer Human published in China and then made a data sheet as database to analyze its translation and acceptance features in China. Based on these researches and analyses, the author further clarified the status recognized by Chinese general readers that No Longer Human has been a "a must-read for youth", "the representative work of Japanese I-novels" and "the acme of dispirited culture". | |||||||||
