| 内容記述 | This article examines, from a viewpoint of international law, whether the precautionary principle can be applied in the field of protection of culture. To achieve this end, the article firstly observes the attitutde of the three UNESCO conventions, i.e., World Heritage Convention（1972）, Intangible Cultural Heritage Convention（2003） and Cultural Diversity Convention（2005）, to the idea of “uncertainty”, which is a core concept of the principle. The article then argues theoritical problems and possibilities concerning the application of the principle in this field. Based on this set of observations, the article concludes that the principle can be invoked under certain conditions in the field of protection of cultural heritages and cultural expressions. | |||||||||
