| 内容記述 | Financial Education became a subject in home economics at Japanese high schools in April of 2022. The Financial Services Agency issued a report in December of 2019 entitled “On Financial and Economic Education.” It cites the results of a large-scale financial literacy survey conducted by the Central Committee for Financial Information and Public Relations, concluding that “the level of financial literacy in Japan cannot be said to be high from an international perspective.” In response to that conclusion, the Financial Services Agency stated, “While it is important for each citizen to enhance financial literacy in order to achieve stable asset formation and lead an independent life, opportunities for this purpose are not necessarily sufficient.” In other words, the Agency called for the promotion and expansion of financial and economic education. This paper examines the importance of Tax Literacy Education, bearing in mind the difference between Financial Literacy Education promoted by the government and Tax Literacy Education. |
