| 内容記述 | Masataka Kosaka (1934-1996), a former professor at Kyoto University, was one of Japanʼs leading international political scholars in the postwar era. His major works remain bestsellers more than a quarter- century after his death and have been widely translated into English. One of the editors has discussed Kosakaʼs unique contributions to international political studies in his biography, highlighting his role as a figure with an incomparable scale. Kosakaʼs academic style was deeply tied to his lectures. He started teaching “International Politics” in 1965, which became an official course in 1967. One of the reasons behind the publication of his book, International Politics, in 1966 was to organize his thoughts for these lectures, which were continuously updated with new documents and issues each year. As such, Kosakaʼs “International Politics” lectures overlapped significantly with the development of international political studies in Japan. Despite the importance of these lectures, there is a scarcity of materials discussing them. This article reprints the resumes of his “International Politics” lectures from 1991-1992, providing valuable materials for examining the development of international political studies and diplomatic history in Japan. | |||||||||||||
