| 内容記述 | On Friday, September 29, 2023, Chuo University’s Faculty of Policy Studies (FPS) hosted a distinguished lecture featuring a diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event took place from 3:10 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. during the fourth period and was held in Seminar Room I (Room 11100), located on the first floor of Building 11-A at the Tama Campus. This lecture marked the second installment in the FPS’ seminar series commemorating its 30th anniversary for the fiscal year 2023. The guest speaker, Toshihiro Kitamura, was Deputy Director-General in the International Cooperation Bureau within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and held the title of ambassador for climate change. The ministry designated this particular talk as the “ODA Lecture.” The lecture was open to a broad audience, including undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, and other interested individuals. Professor Ryuji Hattori of the FPS at Chuo University moderated the event. The lecture focused on the theme “Japan’s International Cooperation and Human Security,” with particular emphasis on the recent revision of the Development Cooperation Charter and Climate Change. Topics covered included Official Development Assistance (ODA), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), human security, and climate change. The event concluded with a dynamic question-and-answer session. |
