| 内容記述 | Since 2004, it has become possible for unskilled foreign workers to work in Korea through the Employment Permit System (EPS). The EPS consists of following three principles. Firstly, foreign workers must be a complement of local labor market. This would be determined by the total quota, labor market tests and employment rate. Secondly, all their rights as workers are guaranteed by labor laws. But lastly, foreign workers are permitted to stay in Korea for maximum of 3 years. The EPS, therefore, is a policy of legally accepting foreign workers, but it also works as an exclusion system by preventing their settlement in Korea. | |||||||||
