| 内容記述 | Minjung theology is a practical theology of Korean Christianity established in the late 1970s, a Korean contextual theology that has been established in practice by presenting various social issues arising from the processes of industrialization and urbanization in Korean society since the 1960s as missionary tasks. In particular, it has worked as a theoretical prop of the democratization movement under the power of the military dictatorship. Furthermore, Minjung theology, or the Minjung church appearing as a place of practice advocating Minjung theology, came to be forgotten by a large number of people after accomplishing democratization. However, an enthusiasm for attempting to reconstruct Minjung theology prevails today. This paper outlines the establishment and development of Minjung theology and the Minjung church, as well as the trend of reconstruction of today’s Minjung theology. In addition, it explores the status and possibilities for Minjung theology as well as its influence toward the Korean religion world, specifically toward Christianity in the Korean religious context. | |||||||||
