| 内容記述 | Three major models have been applied to commercial bibliographic databases, that are the Boolean logic model, vector space model and probability model. Each model mentioned is equipped with strengths and limitations. In practical and popular operations, Boolean logic model seems to be preferred for the reason that it is simpler and more perspicuous for searchers to understand and more predictable in the process of searching operation. It is important to choose proper model for search objectives and situation which searchers are placed, that are for dailylife or academic, for idea generation or exhaustive search for patent documents. | |||||||||
