| 内容記述 | This study examines what factors influence the motivation to learn of university students in the COVID－19 pandemic by analyzing the results of a nationwide survey conducted by the Japanese Cabinet Office in the first and second semesters of 2020. As a result, high preference for online classes is linked to the motivation to learn, while online education itself and the frequency does not affect the motivation. Also, it is found that the intensity of social connections makes a significant difference. Although online interactions, including social networking sites, were initially linked to their motivation, it became less influential over time. This implies that offline interactions are important for maintaining students’ motivation in the COVID－19 pandemic. |
