| 内容記述 | The aftermath of the 3/11 confronted us with the tension between the possibility and the limit of a “planetary society” (Melucci 1996）, a society completely interconnected within itself, but still dependent on the planet Earth and the human body. In this study, we review the results of our previous research called “Fieldwork on the liminal territories” (Niihara edit. 2014） and investigate the conceptual links between liminal territories and the planetary society. Furthermore, we examine Melucci’s discussion of identity, which is considered as the capacity to respond to/for an ongoing process of the multiple self rather than a static thing or an essence in modern notion. We suggest that the multiplication and contradictoriness of the self may be key elements to an image of a person in the planetary society. | |||||||||
